The Tfal ActiFry is the latest frying technology providing the means to prepare a large variety of meals. In order to help folks along their journey we've compiled some highly original and ridiculously tasty ActiFry recipes for you. Please feel free to experiment with these recipes; cooking is an art as much as it is a science.
Beginning with the simple and slowly building up, here are some very easy, yet very flavorful recipes to get started with:
Chicken Stock Chips
A simple variation on regular chips, the additional flavors are a real bonus when served with chicken steaks and seasoned vegetables.
Wash and prepare your potatoes slicing into thin chips. Place inside your Actifry WITHOUT oil in order to dry the chips out a little. Once dry, place chips in a bowl consisting of chicken stock and a little flour; something like a 5:2 ratio will do quite nicely. Add a tablespoon of olive oil to your ActiFry and bring up to temperature. Fry your potato chips for around 10 minutes per serving, so 20 minutes for a two person serving, etc.
A key ingredient to a real English breakfast, with the use of olive oil in your ActiFry to lightly fry the mushrooms, this side dish no longer has to be an unhealthy choice.
Clean and prepare your mushrooms, slicing them into halves to retain their flavor. Add 3/4 tablespoon of olive oil to your ActiFry and bring up to temperature. Place your mushrooms in and wait around 3 minutes. After 3 minutes add a little flavoring such as ground black pepper; a little salted butter can be added if desired. Another 3 minutes should see nicely cooked yet internally firm fried mushroom. Enjoy!
Although technically not roasted, using small amounts of oil and goose fat one can produce spectacular "roasties" fit for any occasion; including Christmas dinner.
Wash and prepare your potatoes. Ensure there are no potatoes of unusually large size. Lightly coat your potatoes in goose fat and a very small amount of flour. A 7:1 ratio will work just fine. Place in your ActiFry along with 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil per serving. Repeatedly turn the potatoes every 2 minutes making care to keep the formation of the goose coating fluffy and even. After 20 minutes add small snippets of smoked bacon and stir into the oil. Within another 15 minutes add a little sage and a sprinkling of sea salt. Pour out onto a plate covered in a kitchen towel to soak up any excess fats. Serve to your grateful friends and family!
Chicken and Chili Experience
Featuring the freshest of ingredients and producing a wholesome zesty flavor this variation on a Thai cooking classic was one of the best recipes we've tried so far.
Take 3 chicken breasts and slice into numerous small strips, each strip should be no more than 8mm wide. To these strips add 1 chopped red chili, the juice and zest of 3 lemons, 3 cloves of garlic which should be thinly sliced, 1 diced onion and finally one tablespoon of olive oil. Leave to marinade.
The first ingredients to add to your ActiFry are some small sliced salad potatoes, in whatever size portion you wish. The rough guide of one tablespoon of oil per 1/2 serving is a good figure to keep in mind. Let the potatoes fry for 15 minutes and then add your chicken and chili marinade. Take a deep breath as the flavor combines with the potatoes! Cook for a further 10-12 minutes, checking the chicken to ensure it is cooking evenly.
Add 10 half sliced cherry tomatoes with a small amount of black pepper and allow them to simmer away with the rest of the ingredients for just over 5 minutes. Leave to cool and then serve straight to plate. A special meal indeed!
